Dear EUROCLIO network members,
I am calling your attention to a very inspiring seminar on “International School for Holocaust Studies of Yad Vashem (ISHS)” which is organized in partnership with EUROCLIO and Yad Vashem Institute with the support of Adelson Family Foundation.
The seminar will take place in the holy city of Jerusalem, Israel on 15-18 December 2011. The seminar aims at stressing a common search to implementation of innovative and responsible approach to the History of the Holocaust, with the possibility of setting up a project, platform or a future seminar which would take place in Europe and involve more teachers. It will focus on content and brainstorm with leading members of EUROCLIO.
3 day programme (15-18 December 2011) of the seminar will be filled with small discussion groups, practice and case oriented workshops led by seminar participants, cultural city tours to the old city of Jerusalem called “Junction of Cultures and Religions” and Tour of the Holocaust History Museum, and an entertaining and engaging social programme. “Yad Vashem and the Holocaust”, “Education and a Painful Past” and “History in Society” will be the core themes of the 3 day programme during the seminar.
The seminar welcomes all EUROCLIO network members in this event in order to empower their capacity in policy-making, planning and discussion and explore sustainable future cooperation between EUROCLIO and Yad Vashem Institution.

The accommodation of the participants will be provided in 4 star Jerusalem Gold Hotel during the seminar periods (15-18 December 2011). The conference fee for the person will be 175 for the double room and 275 for the single room. This includes stay in the hotel for the nights of December 14-18 including all meals, lunches, coffee etc in the programme. EUROCLIO will provide the applicants with all the necessary documents and information for their visa arrangement to travel to Israel.
